Occupation Anything is a blog that my friend Mike and I conceived of as a joke. It would be a site where we'd chronicle all the silly stuff we do, under the delusion that people want to read that kind of thing. The more we talked about it, however, the more serious it got. Eventually we announced the 20/20 Project. We wanted to do 20 amazing things in 20 days - each day had a 12-hour challenge that lay outside of the realm of things we'd choose to do in our free time. We gathered a panel of judges that consisted of several of our highschool teachers, and they drafted a series of 20 epic, interesting, and mildly frightening challenges. Some of the challenges:
Occupationanything.com was created as a place to chronicle the project with daily blog posts from each of us accompanied by photos and videos from the day. It ended up being a lot of fun, and we learned about ourselves and what motivates and inspires us. It gave us a better idea of what kind of things we're capable of if we really go at it. Sadly, the website is now deactivated, though I'll post a link again if we ever recover it.
Just between us, there's been talk of a 30/30 Project.
